Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2023-02-27T10:15Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2023-02-27T10:15:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: 2 (clear signatures)
Note: Associated with a rapid magnetic field enhancement (B_total increasing from 13 nT to 19 nT), as well as a dropping in density in the suspect DSCOVR data and rapid increases in solar wind speed recorded by ACE from low 600 km/s to mid to upper 700 km/s. Possibly associated with a coronal hole high speed stream arrival or the early arrival of CME: 2023-02-25T19:38Z at Earth.
